I’ve been drawing a bunch of Sneps. Mostly grey-haired Snape in the Snape-lives AU.
The last one is a big mood (aka me when people keep touching me while we are having a conversation) xD

Headcanon

When an Occlumens taps into their power, their pupils expand to engulf their entire iris, resulting in the appearance of having “black” eyes.

Snape’s eyes are actually dark brown, but almost no one knows this because he is constantly Occluding, all day, every day. Such strict self-imposed exertions drain his energy and power, lending even more to his short temper and poorly-kept physical appearance.

I would also like to add that having dilated pupils makes a person very sensitive to light…Snape lives in the dungeons……hates bright light……………….hmm

It’s still funny that ppl think the books “excuse snapes behavior” or “romanticize him”, like seven novels describing in detail how greasy and nasty and just how much of a bitch he is isn’t enough for them because the books dont say “and thats bad” every time he does something shitty and sometimes depict him doing a good thing or suffering without tacking “but he is still a bad person” at the end

ya DAMN right bc like…. fuck off with that “romanticizing” stuff like bitch where???? all rowling does is just unveil that hey snape actually had some goddamn reasons for his behavior (that’s called!!!! fucking BACKSTORY!!!! u freaks!!!) and revealed that he was on the light side. that’s not romanticizing his behavior, esp when we spend six books conditioned to hate him bc our pov character harry does. like esp when you have a close pov, the reader tends to identify with the protag’s feelings….. and yall really come to my house saying that the books excuse snape’s behavior….. if anything harry is (blatantly!!! unapologetically!!! vocally!!!!) anti-snape and so are 99% of the characters we see in the novel. almost all the characters we are expected to trust and see as good or cool hate snape. THAT’S!!! the POINT!!! thats what makes the twist of him being good so good!!! bc EVERYONE hated him!!!!

like just bc books dont explicitly say “hey this behavior is bad and you shouldnt do it” doesnt mean theyre condoning that behavior and it drives me fucking nuts that anyone genuinely believes it. and you know what!!! it also drives me fucking nuts that anyone EXPECTS their books to do that. books are not required to include moral guidelines!!!!!!!!!! i dont want to or have to cater to your moral philosophy to write my entertaining story!!!! you CAN get a sense of right and wrong from books and media but they should not be your sole resource so stop expecting authors to only write morality tales thank u for coming to my goddamn ted talk

op youre right and you SHOULD say it

THAT. Not romantic at all….just sad

Dumbledore: Do you know why I hired you, of all people?

Snape: To burden me with all the unpleasant Tasks and the blame for them, too like it was my idea?
